Vertical Loader / Unloader
The vertical loader/unloader that achieves high-efficiency glass transit across different glass processing lines — the gantry system commonly used on-line. The 5-axis loader/unloader serves high-speed appliance glass processing lines, loading glass and turning its direction during the load. Working with one or two glass pieces together according to line speed, it is also used mid-line to turn glass 90 degrees — faster, more space-efficient, and scratch-free.
How It Works
Five stages from glass pick-up to scratch-free placement — loading, turning, and unloading across the line.
Why This Loader / Unloader
Six features that make glass transit faster, tighter, and scratch-free.
5-Axis Gantry System
The gantry loader/unloader is the commonly used on-line system for high-efficiency glass transit — it loads the glass and turns the direction during loading, all on one compact gantry frame.
90° Turning Mid-Line
Used in the middle of processing lines to turn glass 90 degrees — faster and more space-economic than conveyor turns, and it avoids scratches on polished edges and coated surfaces.
One or Two Pieces Per Cycle
According to line speed, the loader works with one piece or two pieces together, matching throughput to your production line and maximizing transit efficiency.
Servo Motor Drive
Servo motors on 4 motion axes deliver smooth, precise, high-speed motion with repeatable positioning for continuous production line operation.
Scratch-Free Handling
Vacuum-based pick-up and placement eliminates edge contact and scratching, protecting polished edges, Low-E and coated glass through transit.
Ready for Line Integration
Standard 220V/60Hz power and 0.6 MPa air supply, with a 4–10 sec/pcs cycle and 10 kg load capacity — integrates with washing, edging, and processing lines out of the box.
5-Axis Gantry Glass Transit System
The gantry loader/unloader commonly used on-line achieves high-efficiency glass transit — loading, unloading, and 90° turning across different processing lines.

How It Compares
VL1015/VUL1015 gantry vs. manual handling vs. roller conveyor transfer.
Hanwin VL1015/VUL1015 leads in Turning (95) and Safety (94) — the fastest, scratch-free way to move and reorient glass across your line.
Where It Excels
From appliance lines to mid-line turning — one gantry, every transit need.
Appliance Glass Lines
High-Speed Load & Unload
High-speed appliance glass processing lines — washers, edgers, and break-out stations — need fast, scratch-free glass transit. The VL1015/VUL1015 loads and unloads 1300×800mm panels at 4–10 seconds per piece, turning direction during load to keep the line flowing.

Full Load / Unload AutomationKeep It Moving
Five essential practices to keep glass transit fast, precise, and scratch-free.
Check all vacuum suction cups for wear, cracks, or loss of grip. Verify vacuum pressure is stable during pick-up and release. Clean cup surfaces at the end of each shift and check air supply stays at 0.6 MPa.
Inspect the 4 servo motion axes for smooth travel and repeatable positioning. Check belts, couplings, and guideways for wear or backlash. Verify 90° turning is square and precise on both load and unload cycles.
Inspect pneumatic cylinders, valves, and tubing for leaks. Replace air filter elements. Verify the 0.6 MPa air supply is stable and the quick-release valves seat cleanly. Lubricate pneumatic guides.
Inspect the servo drives and 220V/60Hz electrical supply connections. Verify line-speed sensors and piece-count logic (1 or 2 pieces per cycle) are accurate. Check emergency stop and safety interlocks.
Perform a full structural inspection of the gantry frame and carriage. Verify load capacity (10 kgs) and cycle time (4–10 sec/pcs) against specification. Replace wear components and vacuum cups. Full safety system and CE compliance check.
Common Questions
Everything you need to know about the Vertical Loader / Unloader.
The VL1015 is the vertical loader — it loads glass at the entry of a processing line and can turn the direction during loading. The VUL1015 is the vertical unloader — it removes finished glass at the line exit. Both share the same 1300×800mm working size, 2–6mm glass range, servo 4-axis drive, and 4–10 sec/pcs cycle.
The working size is 1300×800mm with glass thickness from 2mm to 6mm. The comprehensive load capacity is 10 kgs, and the system handles one or two glass pieces together per cycle depending on line speed.
During loading, the gantry turns the glass direction while lifting — so glass arrives at the next station already reoriented. The system is also commonly used mid-line to turn glass 90 degrees between processes, which is faster, more space-economic, and avoids scratches compared to conveyor turning sections.
The machine runs on 220V/60Hz power supply and requires 0.6 MPa compressed air. These are standard shop utilities, so the loader/unloader integrates with existing washing, edging, and processing lines out of the box.
The cycle is 4–10 seconds per piece, depending on glass size and transit distance. The servo motor drive and 4-axis motion keep the system responsive to line speed for continuous production.
It is commonly used on-line for glass transit between different processing lines — washing machines, edgers, the HN-E CNC Glass Processing Center, and inspection stations. It loads, unloads, and turns glass 90 degrees without adding long conveyors.
