Automatic Glass
Drilling Machine
Fully automatic conveyor-fed dual-head drilling for curtain wall and production-line glass — 2200×2700mm panels, Φ4–130mm holes, 3–30mm glass, AC servo 3-axis positioning.
How It Works
Five stages from conveyor feed to automatic output — zero manual intervention.
Why This Automatic Drilling Machine
Six features that deliver fully automatic, production-line-ready glass drilling.
Conveyor Belt Automatic Feeding
Full conveyor belt system transports glass from infeed to drilling to outfeed — zero manual handling. Sensors detect glass edges and center automatically. The only machine in its class that combines automatic loading, drilling, and unloading.
Dual-Head Independent Operation
Two drilling heads operate simultaneously for double throughput, or independently for different hole sizes. Each head has paired upper/lower spindles for front/rear drilling — achieving ±0.15mm concentricity on through-holes.
AC Servo 3-Axis Positioning
X, Z, and W axes all driven by AC servo motors with precision linear guides and ball screws. Delivers ±0.30mm positioning accuracy across the full 2200×2700mm working area.
Full 2200×2700mm Curtain Wall Capability
Handles the largest standard glass sheets used in curtain wall production — 2200×2700mm. No other automatic drilling machine processes full-size curtain wall panels without repositioning.
PLC + Touch Screen One-Touch Recall
PLC with positioning module and 7-inch touch screen stores dozens of product presets. Switch between programs with one-touch recall. Frequency converter adjusts drilling speed for different glass types.
Production Line Integration
Designed to integrate directly into tempered glass production lines — infeed from cutting/washing, outfeed to tempering furnace. ERP bar-code integration available for automated tracking.
Conveyor = Zero Manual Handling
The full conveyor belt system transports glass from infeed to drilling to outfeed — zero manual positioning, zero human error. The only machine in its class that combines automatic loading, drilling, and unloading in one horizontal system.
Technical Specs
Every parameter engineered for fully automatic, production-line glass drilling.
How It Compares
Automatic conveyor drilling vs. manual drilling vs. CNC vertical drilling.
Hanwin Automatic Glass Drilling Machine dominates Automation (98), Glass Size Range (95), and Production Speed (90) — the most automated, largest-format drilling solution available.
Where It Excels
From curtain wall to automotive — one machine, every automatic drilling need.
Curtain Wall & Facade Glass
Full-Size Panel Drilling
Curtain wall glass requires precision-drilled mounting holes across full-size 2200×2700mm panels. The Automatic Glass Drilling Machine processes full curtain wall panels in a single pass — no repositioning, no manual handling.

Five essential maintenance practices to maximize conveyor uptime and drill accuracy.
Inspect conveyor belt tension and alignment. Clean glass particles from belt surface. Check all drill bits for wear or glazing. Verify water cooling flow through all spindles. Clean water tank filters. Inspect pneumatic clamping pressure.
Verify AC servo motor performance on X/Z/W axes. Check laser cross-hair alignment accuracy. Calibrate touch screen position display against actual drill positions. Lubricate all linear guide rails and ball screws with precision machine oil.
Verify positioning accuracy at test positions across full 2200×2700mm area. If accuracy drifts beyond ±0.30mm, recalibrate servo systems. Check upper/lower spindle concentricity. Update PLC offset values. Backup all product presets and programs.
Inspect all spindle bearings for play, noise, or vibration. Check spindle alignment and runout. Verify motor power output. Inspect conveyor drive motor and rollers. Check all electrical connections and Schneider components. Replace spindle coolant filters.
Complete machine calibration using precision measurement tools. Verify all axes, spindle concentricity, conveyor speed, laser positioning, pneumatic pressure, water cooling, and safety systems. Replace drill bits and wear components. Full CE compliance check.
Common Questions
Everything you need to know about the Automatic Glass Drilling Machine.
The standard configuration handles 2200×2700mm — the full size of curtain wall and architectural glass panels. The G-AD-3 Enterprise extends to 2400×3000mm. Minimum glass size is 100×100mm, covering everything from small shower panels to full-size curtain wall.
Three things: (1) Conveyor belt automatic feeding transports glass from infeed to drilling to outfeed — zero manual handling. (2) AC servo 3-axis positioning automatically locates each hole coordinate. (3) PLC control with one-touch program recall. The operator loads glass on the conveyor and presses start — the machine handles everything else.
Yes — the G-AD-2 and G-AD-3 models are designed for production line integration. The conveyor system matches production line speed, with infeed from cutting/washing and outfeed to tempering furnace. ERP bar-code integration is available on the G-AD-3 for automated production tracking.
The standard range is Φ4–Φ130mm — covering everything from small mounting holes (Φ4mm) to large ventilation and pass-through holes (Φ130mm). The G-AD-3 Enterprise extends to Φ200mm. Different hole sizes use different diamond core drill bits, changed automatically or manually.
The conveyor feeds glass at 1.5–6m/min (adjustable via frequency converter). Drilling speed depends on glass thickness and hole diameter — a Φ20mm hole in 8mm tempered glass takes approximately 8–12 seconds. Dual-head simultaneous drilling doubles throughput for multi-hole panels.
The G-AD-1 has 1 drilling head with PLC control — ideal for standard production. The G-AD-2 has 2 independent heads with AC servo 3-axis positioning — 2× throughput for high-volume curtain wall. The G-AD-3 adds full CNC, extended glass range (Φ200mm, 2400×3000mm), double conveyor, CCD camera, and ERP integration for maximum automation and production line connectivity.
